Forgiveness

If God forgives everything – does it matter what I do?

Could the answer be …

When we do something wrong, there are consequences – a price to pay, to put things right (especially if we are caught). No-one is perfect, we all fall short and miss the mark. The word we often use is sin.

God has forgiven our ‘sin’, taking the punishment and consequences on himself so that we can be free. So, does that mean I can do what I like?

When someone truly forgives us, we feel it deeply – that we are valued (despite the times we mess up). And when we say “sorry” and truly mean it – something else happens inside; we kind of do a “turn around.” A change happens that causes us to think differently – the next time something happens.

What do you think?
