HOW WE FEEL

Stress is like pressure on the body or the mind. Although stress can often seem like a bad thing there’s can be good stress, the type that keeps you alert. It’s all about keeping a balance. When stress becomes too much to handle then it can become unhealthy, affecting your mental health and emotions. Symptoms such as tiredness, depression and anxiety.

Anxiety can often feel like a constant feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something. Anxiety grows from long term stress, which can be; school, friends, family etc. At the time we might not know where it comes from, probably lots of things involved including your past or experiences, current life situation, physical and mental health problems.

Depression is more than simply feeling unhappy or fed up for a few days. Depression is a real illness with real symptoms that can last for quite some time. It isn't a sign of weakness or something you can snap out of by pulling yourself together, but by beginning to understand and recognise things, so you can take a step forward. It often helps when we talk to someone.
