Why are there religions?

Could the answer be …

It helps when we have something to believe in:

I know that, after night comes day.

I know I feel better after a good night’s sleep.

Things work best when I am friendly.

I know that, looking left and right before crossing the road makes sense.

These and many more things, I know, believe and trust in.

Can you think of more?

A religion is a collection of beliefs, that make sense and help things to work better.

If we practice what we believe – acceptance of others, (their differences are so small, compared to our similarities); then, there may not be the problems between different beliefs.
